Two Level Outline
A two-level outline is made up of headings for sections and subsection of a paper. It includes:
- Introduction. The introduction entails:
- Motivation
- Thesis Statement
- Organizational overview of the paper
- Literature Review. It entails:
- Heading for the first topic.
- Heading for the second topic.
- Heading for the third topic.
- Analysis Approach. It entails:
- Heading for the description of the scope of the analysis
- Heading for methods used for first major task
- Heading for methods used for second major task
- Heading for methods used for third major task
- Results. This section should entail:
- Results of first major task.
- Results of second major task.
- Results of third major task.
- Discussion. It entails the discussion for the specific results presented.
- Conclusions. This section entails:
- Summary of objectives and approach of your paper
- Major findings of your paper
- Important implications of your paper's findings.
- Needed future work in the field
