In addition, your thesis statement should explain what the advertisement is doing or saying and who the target audience is. You should place it at the end of your introduction or the advertisement’s description. Your thesis statement could include:
- Explicit messages. These are the obvious messages.
- Implicit messages. These are the hidden messages. They are promises that the advertisement seems to make to the consumer.

Your body paragraphs should use evidence from the advertisement to prove your thesis statement. You should include the following in the body paragraphs:
