Sample Essay: My Aim in Life is to Be a doctor
I have always wanted to be a doctor; Sometimes I end up thinking that doctors are the most important beings that God created. My friend Elvis, a neural surgeon at Baghdadi hospital has always been my role model and greatest inspiration. I always get fascinated when I engage in talk with him, we can spend a vast amount of time talking about how they treat the patients at the hospital and how much he enjoys seeing the patients that he has treated recover. I have never dreamed of any other carrier in life apart from being a doctor.
I wouldn’t wish to see anyone suffering because of poor treatment and being left unattended by the medical practitioner. I have always felt hurt every time we visit the hospital with my mom and see the way the patients are being treated poorly. I want to change this, and that’s why I will always work hard to realize my dreams. I chase my dream In every way possible by putting more effort into the science subjects which I lead when it comes to the exam. My teacher always encourages me to put more effort and consult him whenever I face challenges. I am great at solving problems, and communicating with other people whenever they feel hopeless in life and I also possess excellent memory which qualifies me to become a doctor someday as my mom always says. My village has few hospitals and very few doctors coming from there, I want to become among the first few doctors from our village. My ambitions to become a doctor grow even bigger as we continue studying deeper in the science subject since I get exposed more to the human body, the various parts, and how to handle them when performing first aid. I always enjoy helping my friends and offering them first aid whenever they encounter an accident; my friends love me very much because of this.
I believe that service to humanity receives great blessings from God and believe that one day I shall get a chance to serve this great country of ours using my great talents as a doctor. I will always help the needy and those who are less privileged by giving them affordable access to medical services. I want to become a doctor so that I can go back to our area and build a big hospital and chemist so that people from our village will not have to travel far to the city to get treated. I will start by serving those who are in critical situations every time I am on duty so that we will not have to lose lives unnecessarily anymore. My treatment of those who are less privileged and the needy will be free. I will always ensure that I charge a fair price to the patient and give them the right medication so that they get better and go back to their families. Great and fair services to all will always be my slogan. As a doctor, I want to win the reward of being the most caring doctor of the year by showing humility and never talking rudely to my patient. I want the world to realize how great this profession can be by following me as their example.
Life is very important and so I will always try to save the patient's life as much as I can. I will never neglect my patient or leave them without taking their medicine even if it means spending the night at the hospital. Patients constantly need hope and to be assured of their significant progress in treatment, this I will always do. I shall try my best to create great relationships with my patient so that they will always disclose every piece of information which is necessary for treatment to me.
Lack of proper hygiene in my village has caused many people to lose their lives especially when there is an outbreak of contagious diseases like cholera. I will take it as my duty to teach the people in the village about the need for proper hygiene and sanitation. I will create campaigns and awareness where I will teach people how to avoid contracting contagious diseases and other diseases that result from negligence. I Will ensure to further my education and be able to discover a medicine to cure some diseases which didn't have a cure before like HIV and Aids. Without ambitions I know that I cannot go anywhere that is why I will always keep my hopes high. I always avoid walking with the wrong company in school which can make me get expelled from the school and thus fail to reach my dream of becoming a doctor.
Every weekend when we are not at school, I always visit my friend at the hospital to learn some skills on how to treat people. I remember that day he gave me a book entitled "How to grow to be a doctorâ€, I was very happy and always ensures that I read it every night before I sleep to learn the virtues of a doctor and how doctors behave. I believe I will achieve my dreams someday soon since where there is will there is always a way.
