Poem For Step Dad Who Died

Michael,

Part of our family not by birth,

But by good fortune,

You showed us to love, even when it was not required of us

You loved my mother with everything you had,

And to us, became a dad,

With you I found a father that I never had.

You walked into our lives slowly, but left so fast,

When we had dinner last night, I didn’t know it would be our last

You left so soon, I wish we had a chance to say goodbye

If we had the chance, I would have said my thanks

You found me when I was lost, but molded me with love,

You left behind a strong impression, a loving expression

Now that you have gone, all we have are your memories,

We are sad to see you go, but glad the suffering is over,

Goodbye.

About Cassandra

Academic writing is my bread and butter. I enjoy the entire process of researching, writing, and editing. I am well versed in APA, MLA, and CMS-NB or author date citation. I tend to be an incredibly fast researcher and writer, especially when it comes to academia, so the turn-around time would be minimal for smaller projects. I have attached several examples of my academic work, spanning across genres from philosophy to epidemiology.
