Eid al-Fitr

Eid is a religious holiday observed by Muslims all around the world. It commemorates the conclusion of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. Muslims maintain a rigorous fast and participate in religious activities during the month. Eid is the first day of the next month in which Muslims do not fast and may enjoy their day to the utmost. Eid al-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, the Islamic calendar month after Ramadan. During the last few days of Ramadan, before Eid, each Muslim family donates a certain sum to the poor. This is a food present - rice, barley, dates, rice, and so forth - to guarantee that the less fortunate can have a festive feast and celebrations. This is called sadaqah al-fitr (charity of fast-breaking).

Eid observance

Every year, Muslims observe the holy festival of Eid. They gorge themselves on this day since it marks the end of Ramadan. Originally, the Prophet Muhammad instituted this ritual in Mecca. The Prophet Muhammad is reported to have arrived in Medina on this day. During Eid, people raise their spirits and enjoy a good time. Before a month has gone by, they start planning for Eid. The countdown to the commencement of Ramadan starts. Women plan ahead of time how they will arrange their dresses, bangles, and accessories. On the other hand, men wear their traditional kurtas and pajamas. When they view the moon on Eid, they wish everyone "Chand Mubarak," since it marks the beginning of the Eid holiday.

Mehendi is also tastefully done on women's and girls' hands. Houses are similarly decorated and painted. During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims fast, give charity, pray, and perform other good deeds in preparation for Eid. Muslims gather in open locations or mosques early in the morning to perform the Eid prayer. This is made up of a lecture followed by a brief collective prayer. Following the Eid prayer, Muslims usually disperse to visit various family and friends, give presents (especially to children), and call distant relatives to wish them a good holiday.

These celebrations often last three days. In the majority of Muslim countries, the entire three-day period is an official government/school vacation. Muslims throughout the world are celebrating Eid al-Fitr, the feast that marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting.

Much of Asia and the Middle East are celebrating, including Saudi Arabia, which is home to Islam's holiest shrines. Crowds of worshipers gathered in Cairo's Tahrir Square to pray and rejoice, as Egypt's interim authorities conducted prayers in a mosque in the city. US President Barack Obama wished Muslims a "blessed and happy celebration," noting Ramadan customs as a reminder to be grateful and caring. Eid al-Fitr commemorates the purity attained throughout Ramadan – a month of fasting. As a result, everyone had a good time during Eid. The preparation of sweet vermicelli, known as "seviyan," is a ceremony. It is famous all over the world and is cooked in two different ways. Similarly, kababs, biryani, korma, and other delights are produced. It is for the visitors to enjoy and share a delicious lunch with their loved ones.

Eid Celebrations

It is a time to give to those in need and celebrate the end of a month filled with blessings and joy with family and friends. When Eid comes, everyone wakes up early to celebrate. They bathe and change into their new clothes. The ladies pray at home, while the men worship in the form of "Namaz” at the mosque. Meanwhile, lunch is being prepared at home. After the guys have finished praying, they embrace and share Eid pleasantries. They exchange Eid Mubarak messages and embrace three times on alternate holidays. People then proceed to the homes of their friends and relatives to greet them. When guests visit their loved ones, they eat "Sevaiyan”. Eidi is another intriguing aspect that young people enjoy. Eidi is a monetary gift given to them by their elders. As a result, youngsters like getting Eidi and then spending it on their favorite items.
