Contrary, students that are aware of repercussions of plagiarism are dedicated and responsible for their personal integrity.
Furthermore, various campuses and colleges perceive plagiarism as a serious issue that affects academic purity. For that reason, most education institutions admonish their students for plagiarizing assignments. In some instances, students might lose their degrees if the university discovers that they have committed a plagiarism offense. Becker postulates that plagiarism could have negative repercussions on the value of a student’s degree if they copy slabs of academic work and present it like their own (259). For instance, plagiarism can make a student perform poorly in academics or even get expelled from school. Apparently, the rampant instances of plagiarism might damage the reputation of colleges, students, and the general integrity of different forms of academic research. Therefore, students should realize the impacts of their actions, thus helping them avoid the ramifications of plagiarism in academics. Notably, students ought to learn the importance of writing their thoughts as one of the most effective ways of avoiding plagiarism. Moreover, scholars should learn to use their academic skills rather than just replacing words or using correct references.
