Writing A Monologue Script Essay
A monologue essay is a type of essay that needs one to include creative aspect on a normal essay. Monologue essay is given by a sole narrator, who could be the author. The author reflects on an incident or an issue in his own opinion to the audience without interruption. A monologue can be in two forms namely; spoken aloud or thought silently. The organization and flow of ideas in a monologue essay are similar with that of traditional essay. Monologue essay helps to give better understanding on major theme expressed in the story. However creativity and personal expression is needed.
Instructions to follow when writing a monologue essay:
- Your monologue essay should be expressing and focusing on a particular point of view. You should try to clearly illustrate your point of view.
- As you discuss a particular character, Brainstorm his traits and impact that it has to the subject. Write down key notes that you consider significant to the events and people in the life of the character as well.
- Write a conclusion paragraph getting notes that you had written previously. Brainstorm about the reaction of the character and his feelings about the situation that you discussing in your monologue essay.
- As you Draft your first attempt start expressing thoughts or quotes that directly reflect upon what you are discussing with the monologue. This should be expressed in the introduction of the essay.
- Write the body of your essay by expounding more on details that you have highlighted in the introduction, the ideas and possibilities surrounding the event. Discuss the reactions of others and their feelings in relation to the character behavior on the particular event.
- Finally read the conclusion of the essay by having your character define own conclusion. The situation and the character are major determinant of how the conclusion will be like. For example the character can decide to let his anger, resentment or sadness go and finally accept the events as common thing.
- Proofread your draft fixing any grammatical errors, checking proper use of punctuation and sentence structure as you remove unnecessary information to give your monologue essay clarity and flow.
